Harriet is a conceptual womenswear designer with a vision to merge the Scandinavian desire for simplicity creating high quality future classics.
Harriet graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2010 with a MA in Fashion Design with a research project focusing on developing effective pattern cutting techniques for the industry, which are actively used in her business still today.
Harriet was awarded the Second Place Runner Up in the Emerging Designer category at the 2017 Midlands Fashion Awards in Birmingham.
The women's ready-to-wear collection concept derives from Harriet's personal appreciation of minimalist design with a closer focus on brutalist architecture and the movement's approach to materials and function.
The full denim collection consists of conceptual wardrobe classics with a minimalist approach to detailing, colour and design. Raw edges and contrast stitched seams enhance the silhouette and the character of the garment enabling you to keep it simple.
One of the core values for the brand is the quality of the product, whilst maintaining the aspiration to support UK businesses. Upholding these sustainable values has led to focusing manufacturing to Midlands, working with industry professionals in the area and using material suppliers based in UK when possible.
All products are made-to-order in Nottingham either in-house or by local manufacturers. The fabric is cut, the pattern pieces prepared and garments constructed with attention to detail and craftsmanship producing a high quality garment to be worn for years to come. The process takes its’ time but it will be worth the outcome.
